Welcome to my first Budget deck post. A lot of people who play this game can't really afford most of the decks as there is always those cards which cost above 10 or more, and most decks rely on extra deck which most cards from there cost a lot aswell. So I'm here and I'm going to be doing a "Budget Deck" from time to time to give you ideas on what kind of budget deck you could make, and which you could afford to buy!
Also if you have a request for a budget deck just message me here, or other forums such as Pojo.

CardcarD-BP02-EN-R-1ENotes:  "Pot of Duality" and "Cardcar D" are really the only cards which cost a bit of money, costing 5$ each, meaning that these 6 cards will cost you 30$ altogether. You may replace these cards with other cards but the deck will be less consistent, if you do remove any of these remove "Pot of Duality" first as "Cardcar D" is more important to keep the deck consistent.
While that may seem a lot the rest of the deck really only costs 1-2$ each and you don't need a main deck for it.
If you are going as much budget as possible then use "Battle Fader", if you can spare the few dollars then use "Swift Scarecrow", while both do the same thing, "Swift Scarecrow" is slightly better but slightly costs more because it can doge "Solemn Warning" and Special Summon stopers such as "Vanity's Emptiness" and "Fossil Dyna Pachcephalo".

For the side deck what you really only want to use is spell/trap destruction cards and possibly monster effect negation effect or cards that destroy monsters.
An example would be 3 "Mystical Space Typhoon", 1-2 "Lava Golem" and whatever else you can afford.

How the deck works
The decks win condition is to burn your opponents life points to 0.
The main card in the deck is "Chain Strike", your aim is to chain your Draw and Burn cards together and to inflict loads of damage to your opponent while drawing back a lot of your cards to regain your advantage.
"Accumulated Fortune" is the main draw card which is like a "Pot of Greed" in the deck.
"Legacy of Yata Garasu" and "Jar of Greed" are 1 for 1 draw cards which fill up your chain without losing card advantage.
Your other burn cards are "Secret Barrel", "Just Desserts" and "Ceasefire" which can all be chained and "Ojama Trio" lets you make these effects inflict even more damage to your opponent.
"Magic Cylinder" can inflict a good amount of damage, and "Threatening Roar" and "Swift Scarecrow" or "Battle Fader" can stop your opponents otks.
The deck uses "Pot of Duality" which brings consistency to your deck and lets you be able to get "Chain Strike" to your hand faster.
And because you don't really summon any monsters or enter your battle phase, "Cardcar D" is a great card which gives you a +1, but it can make your opponents "Effect Veilers" live.
"Lava Golem" can take care of problem cards which can also burn down your opponent.

Overall the deck is pretty cheap and while it may not be too fun to play, it can still win duels and annoy your opponent a lot as mostly they won't have too many outs and they won't be prepared for your deck.
If you are looking for something cheap to play just try out this deck!

  1. Is it bad to have only 1 Lava Golem? I think it is an important card so what if it is destroyed?
